Introducing ASBO 2.0
The Unicorn MINI R53 Cooper S is a build we are incredibly proud of, Commissioned by one of our good friends, “The Bingster”, owner
and founder of the rapidly growing UK MINI club The MiniMandem. This very special R53 was always destined to become something extraordinary.
With the engine and gearbox already receiving the 1320 Mini treatment, including an upgraded engine, supercharger and fully overhauled gearbox,
the next stage was to create the ultimate show-stopping Mini from an aesthetic perspective.
 

With a huge amount of help from some exceptionally talented people, we think it is safe to say: Mission accomplished.

The Beginning:
We took delivery of this very special R53 in December 2024, with the original plan being to fit a set of Gen 1 flares that were already available
on the market, however, after an eight-week wait and the arrival of an extremely disappointing product, Plan B was quickly put into action.
 

This involved taking a set of our own Gen 2 flares and heavily modifying them to fit the stunning Gen 1 R53, Sounds easy, doesn’t it?
 

Enter Ashley Otley, owner of Bespoke Custom Fabrication, better known as BC-FAB.

Ashley played a major role in transforming and extensively modifying our Gen 2 flares, helping us achieve the fitment, finish and overall
appearance we were aiming for, In fact, the modified Gen 2 flares fitted better straight out of the box than the original Gen 1 set-up we had

received, a huge amount of skill, patience and fabrication went into getting every detail just right.
 

The Final Transformation:
Once the flare conversion was complete, the MINI made its final trip to our trusted wrapping specialists and partners, Smifys
and 1st Choice Tints in Birmingham.
 

Wayne, the owner, showcased his incredible skill set and brought the final vision to life with an exceptional wrap and finish.

As you can see, this one-of-one R53 is certainly a showstopper.
